Is JVZoo legit? Refund rates, what the marketplace is and what buyers should know

JVZoo is a real marketplace and payment platform. The products sold on it are made by independent vendors, and their quality varies enormously. JVZoo's own terms say each vendor sets its own refund policy and JVZoo does not guarantee refunds. Here is what that means if you are about to buy, or trying to get your money back.

Our verdict (editorial opinion)

JVZoo is legit as a platform; judge each product separately. JVZoo is operated by BBC Systems Inc. of Oviedo, Florida, according to its Terms of Use (effective 15 Jul 2026). It is “not a party to” the sale between you and the vendor. Refund rates on the products we've checked range from 0.0% to 30.63% (JVZoo data via OTO Ledger, 21 Oct 2026), against a median of 6.71% across the funnels that tracker follows. Look up a product's refund rate and refund terms before you buy.

We did not buy it. This guide is based on JVZoo's public Terms of Use and help-center articles and on marketplace data, all checked on 31 October 2026. We claim no hands-on purchase or refund experience.

What JVZoo is

JVZoo is a sales platform for digital products, mostly courses, software and PLR packs about making money online. Vendors list a product, affiliates promote it for a commission (often 50–100%), and the buyer pays at a JVZoo checkout. The Terms of Use say vendors are “solely responsible” for their products' “accuracy, legality, quality, and fulfillment”, for “all claims… and advertising”, and for “customer communications, support, and dispute resolution”. They add that “JVZoo does not guarantee that any user… will achieve any particular results.” Most products are launched with a sequence of upsells (one-time offers) shown right after checkout.

JVZoo's refund and dispute rules, from its own pages

All read 31 Oct 2026. The two help pages show different emphases: one says JVZoo usually can't refund directly, the other that it may issue refunds when warranted.
Page (JVZoo)What it says
Terms of Use, §8 Refund PolicyRefund policies “are determined by each Vendor” and may be on the order page or listing. “JVZoo does not guarantee refunds for any purchase.” Refund disputes “should be directed to the applicable Vendor”; JVZoo “may, in its sole discretion,” step in but “is under no obligation to do so”.
Help: Applying for a refundJVZoo “is only able to process refunds on certain transactions”, where it accepted the payment for the seller. “In most cases” payment goes to the product owner's account, so you must ask the product owner. If unsure, contact JVZoo Support.
Help: How JVZoo Protects BuyersJVZoo says it reviews “refund and dispute patterns” and unresolved complaints, may “issue refunds when warranted”, and removes sellers who “refuse legitimate refunds” or “misrepresent their products”.
Help: Contact a seller in the Message CenterIf the seller has enabled it, a “Need Help” button opens a message thread; a “JVZoo Support” button escalates it to a JVZoo ticket.
Help: Refunded but funds not receivedCard refunds can take up to 14 business days to appear on your statement once the status says refunded.

Refund rates: JVZoo's own figures

JVZoo publishes a refund rate for every product and funnel to its affiliates, not to buyers. The tracker otoledger.com collects those figures and republishes them with a capture date; it also gives the median refund rate across the JVZoo funnels it tracks, 6.71% on 21 Oct 2026. Here are the funnel refund rates for products we have reviewed:

JVZoo data via otoledger.com, captured 21 Oct 2026; median 6.71%. A refund rate is the share of sales that were refunded. It is not a quality score, but a rate two or three times the median means many buyers asked for their money back. Vendors also quote their own figures; for example, Jupiter Jim's JV page reports a “1% Refund Rate” for an earlier course.

Two patterns stand out. Make-money “loophole” products with big income claims cluster at the top, including all five of Glynn Kosky's launches (11–21%). Narrow skills products and live classes cluster near or below the median. One caveat about the tracker itself: on at least two pages (The Big Redirect and ChatGPT Prompts PLR) OTO Ledger's automatic sentence calls a rate above 6.71% “at or below” the median. We use its numbers, not that sentence.

JVZoo marketplace figures: "OTO Ledger" refers to the third-party JVZoo tracker otoledger.com, which captured JVZoo's affiliate listing data on 21 Oct 2026. Its "median" is the median refund rate across the JVZoo funnels it tracks (6.71%). Refund rates are percentages of sales that were refunded as published by JVZoo; they are not a measure of product quality on their own, but a rate far above the median means many buyers asked for their money back.

What to check before you buy on JVZoo

  • Find the refund terms and screenshot them. They are the vendor's, not JVZoo's.
  • Look up the refund rate on a tracker if you can, and compare it with the 6.71% median.
  • Add up the upsells before you pay the front-end price. Kosky's funnels reach $659.
  • Read the earnings disclaimer at the foot of the sales page; it often contradicts the headline.
  • Treat “reviews” with caution. Most search results are affiliate pages that earn on the sale. The FTC's Endorsement Guides require them to disclose that.

How to ask for a refund

  1. Find the seller's support contact on the product access page in your JVZoo customer account, or use “Need Help” if it is shown.
  2. Ask in writing within the guarantee period, quoting your transaction ID.
  3. If the seller doesn't respond or refuses, escalate with the “JVZoo Support” button or a support ticket, again with your transaction ID.
  4. Your card issuer or PayPal also runs its own dispute process; check its rules and deadlines.
