Chelsea Ouimet: what she sells, and what press and critics say about her

Chelsea Ouimet is an American online-business coach who, with Kayla Elderkin, sells The Digital Hub and a higher-touch mentorship branded Business Building Besties. Press coverage of Ouimet focuses heavily on her earlier promotion of Legendary Marketer. This page sets out what her sites claim, what named press sources reported, and what we could not check. A live product is not proof that marketed results are typical.

Who she is and what she sells

  • Identity (seller): Ouimet’s About page describes her as an American former nurse and online business coach who became a stay-at-home parent in 2016 and launched a digital marketing business in January 2023 after earlier failed ventures (read 7 Nov 2026).
  • Co-founder (seller): Digital Hub and Elderkin pages name Kayla Elderkin (kaylaelderkin.com/about/, former psychiatric nurse per that page) as co-founder. A 2023 Spectator article pairs Ouimet with Kayla Hutchins for an earlier Facebook mentorship — we treat that as a separate mention, not proof that Hutchins and Elderkin are the same person.
  • Main product: The Digital Hub — Basic $197 on checkout and Advanced Bundle $2,997 on checkout; Social Media Growth $1,297 listed on pathstoprofit (that path’s checkout body was not opened). See our The Digital Hub review.
  • Higher-touch: Business Building Besties (seller abbreviation “BBB”) at businessbuildingbesties.com — not the Better Business Bureau. Public sticker price not confirmed on pages we opened.
  • Earlier funnel (press): NBC News (21 Mar 2024) describes her as a social promoter of Legendary Marketer’s low-cost challenge. Legendary Marketer’s site now shows a farewell message (legendarymarketer.com); see our Legendary Marketer review.

What Ouimet and her companies say (their claims)

  • Results story (seller). About and home claim multi-seven-figure revenue within about a year / under 15 months and large social followings. Digital Hub marketing on thedigitalhub.company claims a “$5M+” brand in two years and large follower/student counts. These are seller claims; we have not audited books or analytics.
  • Student counts (seller). About page: more than 4,000 students; Digital Hub pages: “5K+” / “5,000+” taught — seller figures on those pages (7 Nov 2026).
  • Risk language (seller). Digital Hub terms (1 July 2025) include an earnings disclaimer and “no guarantees” language, and state that all sales are final.

Public record

  • Scope of this check: this profile is not a comprehensive FTC, SEC or court-docket search for Ouimet, Elderkin, The Digital Hub or Business Building Besties. We did not run scoped official database queries for those names.
  • Press we did read: NBC and Entrepreneur coverage concerns Legendary Marketer marketing and customer complaints, with Ouimet named as an affiliate promoter. Those articles are news reporting and interviews, not court findings about The Digital Hub.
  • Legendary Marketer status: the LM seller homepage shows a farewell message (see our LM review). That establishes the LM training business presents as closed; we do not restate an exact shutdown calendar date here beyond what that farewell and our LM page sources show.
  • Trustpilot / Better Business Bureau: we did not find a Digital Hub / Ouimet company profile in name searches on 7 Nov 2026. Seller “BBB” means Business Building Besties.

Ouimet's side

Her sites emphasise persistence after failed businesses, free training before paid offers, and an educational disclaimer. On the NBC story, Sharpe said affiliates including Ouimet were being worked with on disclosure; NBC said Ouimet did not respond. We have not contacted her for this profile and will publish any factual response from her or her companies.

What we could not verify

  • Personal or company revenue figures, follower totals and student counts beyond seller marketing.
  • Typical Digital Hub student earnings or completion rates.
  • Whether Kayla Hutchins (Spectator 2023) and Kayla Elderkin (Digital Hub) are the same person.
  • Reddit and YouTube first-hand Digital Hub reviews (platforms blocked or not opened this pass).
  • Business Building Besties public sticker price.
  • Social Media Growth checkout body (sales-page price only).
  • Any full regulator or court-docket search for Digital Hub entities.

Corrections and right of reply. If you are Chelsea Ouimet or represent the seller, or you think anything here is wrong or out of date, email hello@active-learning-site.com with the page and a source. We will check it, correct the page if needed and publish a factual response from the seller.

Chelsea Ouimet FAQ

Is Chelsea Ouimet legit?

She is a real, publicly identified entrepreneur who sells Digital Hub products with Kayla Elderkin on seller pages we opened. Independent outcome data for those products is thin. NBC News covered complaints about Legendary Marketer promotions she made; that is separate press context, not a court finding against The Digital Hub, and product existence is not proof of typical results.

What does she sell now?

The Digital Hub paths: Basic $197 and Advanced Bundle $2,997 on checkout pages we opened, plus Social Media Growth $1,297 listed on the sales page, and a higher-touch Business Building Besties mentorship. Details in our course review.

Was she involved with Legendary Marketer?

NBC and Entrepreneur describe her as a social-media promoter of Legendary Marketer’s low-cost challenge. Legendary Marketer’s site now shows a farewell message. See our Legendary Marketer review.

Where is your course review?
