Affluent Academy review: highly rated, but the price has risen and the guarantee conditions draw complaints
Affluent Academy, from Jordan Platten, sells Agency Launch, a program for starting a social-media marketing agency, with mentors, calls and a community. Trustpilot reviews are overwhelmingly positive. Reddit is more mixed: members describe real clients but hard, cold-call-heavy work, and one buyer says the money-back guarantee's conditions are too strict to meet.

Our verdict (editorial opinion)
Positive reviews and real member results, but too little independent evidence on outcomes and guarantee terms to give a firm verdict. Trustpilot shows 4.9 from 640 reviews. Two Reddit threads include a member who signed a client and one who says the guarantee “isn't real”. Read the guarantee conditions before you pay.

Not enough third-party information to reach a full verdict
We looked for independent evidence and did not find enough to judge whether this product does what it says. Most of what is published about it comes from the vendor or from affiliates who earn a commission if you buy. Here is exactly what we checked and what was missing.
What we checked
- Trustpilot profile for affluent.co (640 reviews; summary and recent reviews read)
- Two Reddit threads in r/DigitalMarketing
- Seller site and guarantee terms: not read
- BBB and FTC/state records: nothing found for this seller in our checks
What was missing
- The written guarantee conditions
- Current official price
- Any independent figure for how many members sign paying clients
Claims that need corroboration before a fair verdict is possible
- The guarantee conditions as described by users
- Member income reports
If you have bought this product, we would like to hear what you received, what you paid in total and whether a refund was honoured. Contact us. We will update this page when better evidence exists.
What it costs

|---|---|---|
| Earlier price | £1,497 | r/DigitalMarketing, Sept 2023 |

What members report
About the allegations on this page. Statements from Reddit, Trustpilot or YouTube users are their own opinions or accounts. We quote or summarise them with a link and date; we have not verified them, and we do not present them as fact.
- r/DigitalMarketing, October 2022: the original poster, u/Redderrt, later joined and wrote: “I signed a client using this whole system after about a month.” They describe weekly targets such as “15 cold calls a day, 15 emails”. By December 2023 they wrote: “I paid 4500… I don't even do it anymore… Very few actually succeed”, adding that “for the actual class yeah it's legit”. Another commenter describes the sales person as “so pushy”.
- r/DigitalMarketing, September 2023: u/mct430 says the price rose from £1,497 to £3,000, and in an update writes: “The ‘money back if you don't sign 5 clients’ isn't real. The conditions are so unrealistically strict you're set up to break that guarantee almost immediately.” This is one buyer's account; we have not read the guarantee terms.
- Trustpilot: Trustpilot's AI summary of 172 recent reviews says reviewers “overwhelmingly had a great experience”, praising mentors and daily calls, while some found the program “overwhelming” at first. Trustpilot's panel says the company has not invited customers recently, “so reviews may not be representative”. With so few reviews, the score tells you very little.
The seller's side
Affluent replies to all negative Trustpilot reviews, per Trustpilot's panel. Many reviewers name individual mentors and describe signing clients, and a Reddit member who quit still calls the class “legit”. Jordan Platten publishes free agency content on YouTube, which lets you judge the teaching first. We will add the guarantee terms and the company's response if it sends them.
Our verdict
We are withholding a verdict. Trustpilot is strongly positive and some members clearly sign clients, but the independent evidence on typical outcomes is thin, and the one detailed complaint concerns the guarantee terms we could not read. What would change this: the written guarantee conditions and an outcome figure for members. Before you pay, ask for the guarantee in writing and check whether you can realistically meet its outreach requirements.
What we like
- 4.9 Trustpilot score, replies to every negative review
- Mentors and frequent calls, per members
- Members report signing real clients
What to watch out for
- Price rose to £3,000–£4,500, per users
- Guarantee conditions called unrealistic by one buyer
- Cold-call-heavy, hard work; “very few” succeed, per one member
